Former Motorcycle World Champion Mike Hailwood was signed to drive the works car in the Rothmans European F5000 Championship 1971. Reliability issues hampered Hailwoods title aspirations in the early races. With a change of engine from Morand to Alan Smith the reliability returned and Hailwood went on to finish second in the points to Frank Garners woks Lola. Extensive history file and period racing history available.
